Edu/Career Planning 1A Policy

Education and Career Planning: All students will take either the asynchronous Edu/Career Planning 1A Canvas class taught by the Guidance Department  OR Columbia College's Guidance 18 class (taught by Melissa Cripe) to meet their Edu/Career Planning graduation requirement.  

• Our LCAP plan says every student should take their Edu/Career class with a counselor to encourage help with high school planning.  
• The asynchronous Edu/Career Pl 1A course or Guidance 18 with Melissa Cripe are the two options for your students.   
  • For both courses, The 4-year plan is the sample that will be included in the semester portfolio.   
• If your student has a special circumstance and is not able to take the Education and Career Planning asynchronous class or Guidance 18,  you can email guidance1@cwcharter.org to request approval for the PLS Independent Study course.
